A POST-disciplinary Practice

My work has developed across different fields over the past two decades — dance, theatre, film, archives, cultural theory, artistic research and, more recently, publishing.

I have worked as a writer, cultural producer, dramaturge, cultural manager and researcher with institutions, artists and colleagues including Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, the Pina Bausch Foundation, the University of Hamburg, Berliner Festspiele, Theater der Welt, TANZRAUSCHEN, Performance Studies international, Robyn Orlin, Jukka Rajala-Granstubb and Gabriele Klein, among others.

One important part of this work was my involvement in mAPs – migrating Artists project, a European dance film, mentoring and research project supported by Creative Europe. I was also involved in the development of three TANZRAUSCHEN Screen Dance Academies, dealing with sustainable artistic practice, dance film production and transmedia storytelling.

Over the past decade, much of my work has grown out of Ekeby Art and Research and ear.productions. Both became places where artistic research, production and collaboration could develop without being tied too closely to one discipline or format. They have also shaped the way I think about artistic work more generally.

In June 2026, I founded The House of Mr Who (THMW), an independent literary house based in the Netherlands. It grew directly out of the work and ideas developed at Ekeby Art and Research and marks a new direction within my practice: literature and publishing.

The House of Mr Who publishes books that move across languages, memories, identities and different ideas of the future. I am interested in stories about what remains hidden or has been forgotten — within families, bodies, archives and places — and in questions of vulnerability, transformation, queer perspectives and forgotten dreams.
